The Wonderbump Mod - Bump / Pedestal Kit
The action on early Rhodes models is notoriously slow. This mod remedies that problem by increasing the upward velocity of the hammer using a simple bump. This mod makes so much sense Fender adopted it for later models.
Although it's simple, as always, we took a lot of time getting things just right. So we're happy to offer a better bump mod.
And as usual....at a better price too.
Why it's better:
Better bumps - custom cut made in the USA
Strong, stable ABS with smoother finish
Precise cut and dimensions - adheres easily
Better felt - braided high quality English felt
Our kit includes the bumps, the braided felt and two tubes of superglue. To glue down the felt we recommend a synthetic hyde glue, real hyde glue or pvc-e glue. Our e6000 glue will also work but is less economical.
Nylon string or rubber bands will help greatly in the installation. We use a #32 rubber band but many sizes work well. Please check out the instructional video if you haven't already.
