This is truly a complete set with every potential action component you may need to replace. Plus an option to add the bump mod for those flat-pedestal keys. (NOTE: We now offer a tall/short bass damper felt option for those late 70’s/early 80’s models, just make a note in your order)

Each part represents extensive R&D and top-quality components. This kit includes:

• Rubber Grommets - more rubber w/ a flat head design and a longer shaft keep tone bars more stable and better holds/centers the spring. Works with both original and common stainless screws. Improved sustain and tone.

• Hammer Tips - True Tone neoprene/nitrile blend for the best wear and balance attack and sustain. Used by some of the finest techs around because you know they got the sound! The maple core tips are hand-made in our workshop w/ Hardrock Maple and Japanese Neoprene - solid core also made in the USA

• Damper Felts - Using the finest felt from England, France and Japan we custom laminate and cut every piece in our workshop. The lamination makes a more rigid base so they don’t slump like original Fender dampers. Now with tall bass damper option.

• Bridal Straps - An oddly crucial component of the Rhodes action. These are the best we’ve found. Always remember to stretch them before you install them!

• Front Rail & Back Rail Cloth - Highest grade European piano felt. We include the upgrade/mod backrail felt which is 1/16” thicker than original. Reducing key noise and key bounce.

• Glue - Enough for everything but the long felt strips. We also offer a hide glue kit for bigger felt jobs or you can use a synthetic hide glue, pvc-e, e6000 etc.

• Key Punchings/Shims - Often overlooked, the balance and travel of the keys is extraordinarily important to how these Rhdoes play. 1000 included.

• Detailed Instructions - Along with many helpful videos, written instructions are included as well.

• Bump Mod - (Optional) - If you have slow keys and flat key pedestals you should consider the bump mod. It harnesses the power of physics….much like anything that harnesses power to help those lazy keys get to moving.

Variation: Over the decades of production there are considerable points of variation. Really in almost every aspect. This is kit is designed to work very well with a wide variety of these small variations. But if you have a compatibility question please ask. NOTE: We now offer an option for tall or standard bass dampers for late 70’s models with 5/8”+ bass dampers. Please make a note in your order if you need these felts.

You may not need to replace all the components now. But in general almost any felt or rubber probably needs replaced by now if it’s original.

The Rhodes is a great instrument and somewhat unique in the keyboard world in that it is simple enough for technically inexperienced owners to understand, maintain and improve their Rhodes.
