Electrolytic capacitors degrade over time. Even when not in use. Given the age of the average Rhodes if it hasn't been re-capped yet - it's due! 

So we put together a simple re-capping kit for the Janus preamp. It includes excellent authentic hi-end capacitors and clear PRINTED instructions. No pdf nonsense. A piece of paper and printed diagram that corresponds to the part you capacitors you receive and the Janus circuit board.

Some of the capacitors are quite hard to find while others are expensive or only purchased in bulk. So hopefully this will save people some time and money.

NOTE - We now offer an affordable mail-in program for these preamps. We not only replace all the capacitors we also socket and swap the op-amps. And if you’re skilled we highly recommend doing this yourself as well. The OPA2134 works quite well along with many others.
