Peterson Preamp - Recapping Set / All Revisions
We added a small signal transistor option. These are a direct swap in the for the existing transistors with the exception of the RCA metal cans which control the tremolo.
A simple kit with all the electrolytic capacitors needed for a Peterson Preamp. This kit includes an extra 47uf and 100uf as well as 1uf and 25uf cap w/resistor to cover all common revisions of the Peterson preamp. These are nice quality components, some new, some NOS - and it should be an solid improvement over what are now 40+ year old electrolytic capacitors.
NOTE: We also offer an affordable mail-in service for the Peterson which includes cleaning, testing and parts replacement using our professional soldering and desoldering equipment. Contact us about service.
As with any DIY we encourage anyone attempting this to have a firm grasp of working with electronics. And keep safety as priority number one. Mind the polarity on the caps, in particular on the tantalum capacitors. We can offer limited help/troubleshooting but obviously we can not warranty anyone else’s work. So take your time. The kit does include instructions.
