Hardware Set - Late Model Rhodes
Put some polish on that old Rhodes. This set is for 1975 onward. You can tell which set is right for your Rhodes by looking at both the hinges and the latches. There are some slight differences on a few of these modern equivalents but generally things line up and keep the look original while giving a nice improvement in both aesthetic and function. NOTE: The hinges are no longer the NOS but have been replaced with a more common rectangular hinge. These are not identical but function very well in place of the originals.
Tip: When installing the corners it’s very helpful to have a non-marking dead-blow hammer around. Once you anchor one spot with a screw you’ll often find the next hole to be slightly out of reach. You can then use the dead blow hammer to lightly shape the corner towards the next hole before setting the screw. This will make for a nice tight installation and ensure you don’t overly stress the existing holes.
Stage set includes:
8 glides - 8 corners - 4 handles - 2 latches - 2 hinges & and all accompanying screws. (All the fasteners are stainless)
Suitcase set includes:
12 glides - 8 (3-hole) corners - 8 (2-hole) corners - 6 handles - 2 latches - 2 hinges - 20 stainless screws w/cup washers for speaker grill & all other accompanying screws
NOTE: Some Rhodes were made with 4 instead of 2 latches. If you'd like to add more latches they can be found here: Late-Model Latches
