Enough people asked us about these sets that we’ve finally made one available. This set is for pre-1975 Rhodes. You can tell which set is right for your Rhodes by looking at both the hinges and the latches. There are some slight differences on a few of these modern equivalents but generally things line up and keep the look original while giving a nice improvement in both aesthetic and function. The hinges in this set are a 3-hole and one section is wider. We just found they worked better and were stronger, so we decided it was worth having them be a little different.

Tip: When installing the corners it’s very helpful to have a non-marking dead-blow hammer around. Once you anchor one spot with a screw you’ll often find the next hole to be slightly out of reach. You can then use the dead blow hammer to lightly shape the corner towards the next hole before setting the screw. This will make for a nice tight installation and ensure you don’t overly stress the existing holes.
